Obiwan Kenobi arrested, Police arrest man named Obiwan Kenobi, In disappointing news for the galaxy, police say that 37-year-old Obiwan Kenobi was arrested in Roseville, Ore., after he allegedly turned to the dark side Kenobi, previously named Benjamin Cale Feit, reportedly changed his name to that of the "Star Wars" Jedi Knight's (watch the original Obi-Wan in action) in 1999, after a radio station offered $1,000 to anyone who would do it I should probably tell you up front that Obi-Wan Kenobi is my favorite character in the Star Wars universe. Why? Because he’s a super nice guy, and he doesn’t have some sort of “I’m a tough guy” attitude. He’s totally humble, like a guy you could have beers with. Despite this, he is freakin’ death incarnate with a light saber. He isn’t afraid of anyone, defeats several of the most powerful bad guys in the universe, and he hacks off more limbs than anyone else in movie history. I actually lost count of how many bad guys he’s either dismembered or sent to be “one with the Force”.That’s why I was completely saddened to hear that someone named Obiwan Kenobi had a run in with the law recently. It seems that Obiwan now lives in Roseville, California. While driving in town, he was involved in a multi-car traffic accident. Unfortunately, Mr. Kenobi left the scene, and the police had to track him down at this home. It seems that this wasn’t his only problem with the law, as he also had a warrant for petty theft. He was arrested and booked following this incident.
Personally, I think the police are pretty darned lucky that he didn’t pull his light saber on them. Undoubtedly, they would have lost some limbs in the struggle to arrest him. Thankfully, he went along peacefully.The ever alert TORWars staff noticed that the picture in the Roseville Press Tribune didn’t look all that much like the Obi-Wan we all know and love. There was also the issue with the subtle change to the spelling of Obi-Wan. We were suspicious. After a bit of research by your intrepid TORWars reporters, it seems there may have been a bit of confusion, and our hero’s reputation remains unsullied.
It seems that the gentleman who was arrested was originally named Benjamin Cale Feit. He’s not even really a Jedi. He changed his name to Obiwan Kenobi in order to win a radio contest several years back
A 37-year-old California man who had changed his name to Obiwan Kenobi was arrested over the weekend in connection with a hit-and-run that sparked a four-car chain reaction crash in March.
According to KXTV, Kenobi was behind the wheel when he allegedly hit two cars his vehicle was trying to squeeze between. The impact led to two other crashes. Police say Kenobi then sped away.
Kenobi was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury Saturday, briefly jailed, and released on bail.
Obiwan Kenobi was arrested during the weekend in connection to a hit and run crash that lead to a 4-car pileup in mid-March.
The 37-year-old, who has the same name as the Jedi master from the Star Wars movies, was arrested at his Roseville home on April 21, Roseville police Sgt. Jason Bosworth said.
The hit and run then caused a chain-reaction that caused the other two waiting cars to be hit also.
Kenobi was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury.
