Is This the End of 'Khloe and Lamar'
According to TMZ, the youngest of the three Kardashian women and her basketball player husband made the move so that Odom could focus on his career. While the E! show may be a hit, Odom’s season with the Dallas Mavericks was cut short when he was benched for underperforming.
Naturally, E! execs aren’t keen on the move, as they’re hoping to squeeze every last penny out of the family while America is still willing to keep up, rather than put up, with the Kardashians. On that note, Khloe and Odom will continue to make occasionally appearances on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians,’ which was renewed for three more seasons. But until Odom starts making baskets again, we’ll be spared more bad reality TV.
TMZ reported Monday that the couple will end the series. Sources for the site say that Lamar wants to make a comeback in the NBA and can only do that if he focuses on that goal without cameras following him. The former Dallas Mavericks player is going to live in Los Angeles full time to work with trainers.
Sources added that the couple will still make occasional appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The news comes less than a month after Lamar was cut by the Mavericks, notes Fox Sports. On April 9, the team announced that Lamar would be put on the inactive list. At the end of the season, the team will be able to trade the former Lakers star. He set career lows throughout the 2011-2012 season, playing in just 50 games.
Despite his reality star status, his decision to quit the show should be a sign to teams that he is ready to focus on basketball. “He’s a great athlete...He should stick with the NBA and he should forget about reality TV and focus on what he has a real talent for and what’s paying the bills,” CBS Sports host Lindsay McCormick told Hollywood Life.
'Khloe and Lamar' is to end after two series.
Programme stars Khloe Kardashian and her husband Lamar Odom have reportedly decided against continuing with their spin-off reality show because the basketball player - who left the Dallas Mavericks earlier this month - wants to focus on getting his career back on track, sources told gossip website TMZ.
Lamar is currently listed as inactive by the Mavericks but is hoping for a trade at the end of the season, so the couple are returning to Los Angeles, where the sportsman plans to concentrate on getting back to full fitness.
Insiders say Khloe and Lamar will make ''occasional'' appearances on her family's main programme, 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' but will otherwise stay off camera for the forseeable future.
It was recently revealed that Khloe and her family - including mother Kris Jenner and sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian - had signed a three-year deal for more series of 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' worth $40 million.
While Kris, her husband Bruce Jenner and her three eldest daughters are to be paid equally, her son Rob and youngest children Kendall and Kylie will get a smaller share of the money.
It is believed that the deal is the richest deal ever in reality TV and does not include any of the family's spin-off shows.Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are ending their reality series Khloe and Lamar after its current second season, TMZ reports.
The couple pulled the plug on the show so Odom could refocus on his NBA career, sources tell the site. After posting career-low numbers following his trade to the Dallas Mavericks from the Los Angeles Lakers in December, Odom was placed on the inactive list earlier this month for the remainder of the season; the Mavericks will likely try to trade him by June 29. Season 2 of Khloe and Lamar has focused on the trade and the couple adjusting to life in Dallas.

According to TMZ, Odom, the reigning Sixth Man of the Year, wants to concentrate on getting his game back and believes he should only have one project on his plate.
The couple is expected to continue to make appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
