linda evangelista francois-henri pinault
The New York Post is reporting that Evangelista came to court Thursday (June 30) in the hopes of reaching a support settlement with Pinault, despite denying reports that he was the baby's father back in 2007 and publicly claiming the boy's father was a New York City architect.
A court source tells the Post that this was Evangelista's third or fourth visit to Family Court without an agreement being reached, which means a trial could be happening in the near future. Pinault was not in court Thursday, but his lawyer David Aronson tells the Post that was a misunderstanding.
Augustin James was conceived in early 2006, when Pinault and Hayek were in an off-again phase. Augustin was born Oct. 11 of that same year. Pinault and Hayek wed in 2009 and have an almost-4-year-old of their own, Valentina, born Sept. 21, 2007. Pinault also has two children, Francois and Mathide, from his first marriage.
The New York Post spoke to Raoul Felder, a divorce lawyer who said of Evangelista: "She's in for a big surprise. I wouldn't be counting the money yet."Evangelista has carved out her own wealth as one of the world's most successful models, but claims she needs to protect her son with bodyguards and is demanding that Pinault provides 'Augie' with a home on a par with the £13 million California mansion he has put in a trust fund for Valentina, his daughter with Hayek.
