In a radio interview with Johnjay and Rich on KIIS-FM  on Tuesday, Jenner said it was "of course" news to her when Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries on Monday after 72 days of marriage.

"Kim had to make a very difficult decision," Jenner told the deejays. "But she needed to do that on her own. You know, she's not five years old. She's a 30-year-old woman who definitely needs my support right now."

"[Kim's] not the first person in the world to get a divorce or have something like this happen to, and she won't be the last," she added. "She just happens to be a very public person with a couple of television shows on the air so it makes it bigger than life."

One rumor Jenner would like to dispel is that her daughter "made millions" off of her two-part wedding special, Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, that premiered on E! earlier this month.

"She didn't make a dime off of this wedding," Jenner claims. "She actually spent millions of dollars on this wedding, so it's not something that she thought would ever not be happily ever after."

According to Jenner, Kim doesn't even plan on keeping a single chafing dish from her wedding registry. "I'm sure Kim will make a ginormous donation, as she does all the time anyway, very quietly, to a wonderfully deserving charity or children's hospital or something like that," her mom said.

"People just have to stop judging," Jenner added. "Take a step back. Let Kim do what she needs to do and just be supportive. It's not easy."E! Canada reports all of its Kardashian TV shows that aired on the Canadian cable channel in December 2011 were up a combined 11% in viewership year-on-year.
Canadian broadcaster Bell Media, which in late 2010 brought the Kardashians to Canada as E! Entertainment Television came back across the border, secured an average 52,200 total viewers last month for its Kardashian shows on E! Canada, against an average 47,100 total viewers in December 2010.
Kim Kardashian last October called off her 72-day marriage to NBA basketball player Kris Humphries.
But whether it's a liberal streak among Canadians, or a need to watch more TV through the cold winter months, the Kardashian clan still deliver ratings for E! Canada.
Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kourtney & Kim Take New York and Khloe & Lamar currently rank as the top three programs on the Canadian network, respectively, among female viewers in the key 18-49 demo.
