Michael Jackson tiger, Michael Jackson's pet tiger dies at 13 Thriller, one of Michael Jackson's pet tigers, has died at the age of 13 The tiger and his brother Sabu were born in 1988 and kept for a time at Jackson's famous Neverland Ranch, until being moved to actress Tippi Hedren's wildlife preserve near Los AngelesThriller, the famous pet tiger which belonged to the late Michael Jackson has died.

The 13-year-old animal that lived at Jackson’s Neverland died of lung cancer at the Tippi Hedren‘s wildlife preserve near Los Angeles on June 11. An autopsy was performed and the tiger was cremated.

Hedren says Thriller and brother Sabu were born in 1998 and lived with Jackson until 2006 when Jackson left Neverland. Jackson’s veterinarian asked Hedren to take the cats at her Shambala Preserve in Acton. She says a $79,000 compound was built on a lake and Thriller had a great life with Sabu.

Despite Jackson’s love of animals, Hedren says he never called to check on the tigers and never sent any money to help pay for their care.Looks like Michael Jackson is going to be reunited with an old friend.

The King of Pop's 13-year-old tiger Thriller died of lung cancer at actress-activist Tippi Hedren's wildlife preserve in California on June 11, the Los Angeles Times reportsThriller and her brother Sabu were born on Nov. 20, 1998, and lived at Jackson's Neverland Ranch (along with many other animals, such as giraffes, flamingos, orangutans and elephants) until May 4, 2006, when Jackson asked Hedren to take the tigers to her Shambala Preserve in Acton.

"She was about a tough a tiger as we have known here. She ruled over Sabu," Hedren said. "She was the queen. We were fascinated by her dominance."

A necropsy was performed to pinpoint the cause of death, and Thriller was cremated. Staff workers at the reserve held a private service in her honor and buried her ashes
